Redberry were tasked with creating an immersive digital experience for Universal Pictures International’s release of The Boxtrolls.
The suite of assets provided included a teaser site to support early trailer release, full website and an HTML5 ‘Box Racer’ game to maximise digital engagement with the release.
Each of the assets designed and built by Redberry were localised for multiple global territories and able to accommodate content from local promotional partners and showtimes apps.
With a family audience in mind, the website offered interaction on a number of levels – rich localised video content in an embeddable player, downloadable wallpapers for desktop and mobile and printable arts and crafts activity sheets.
The Box Racer game brought the world of the Boxtrolls to life, with players choosing between the characters Shoes and Fish to race through underground tunnels, jumping and ducking to avoid obstacles as they go.
