Marriott have multiple Spa Hotels across the UK. They needed an updated Spa website which included an online booking system that could integrate smoothly with their existing onsite software, whilst creating venue specific content pages to represent each hotel.

What they wanted

Marriott wanted to engage customers with the Marriott Spa brand by creating beautiful, dedicated pages that could position their offering strongly against competitors and stand alongside their main brand website. Integrating with their existing, on-site booking software (Concept), Marriott needed to offer a simple user journey that was responsive and mobile-friendly for their customers. This system would have to be tailored at individual property level, with a flexible design structure to allow for ease of update.

The Solution

What we did

Redberry designed and built a modern responsive front-end website with a tailored user journey. The user can search through and select particular locations, or be directed to venue-specific pages with additional spa information. Using APIs to push and pull information between Marriott’s existing booking software and the website, Redberry was able to create a system with enhanced capabilities such as group, package and day-spa bookings and ensured optimum data capture and communication. Automatic emails are triggered to confirm all bookings while incoming enquiries can be measured and monitored for reporting purposes. Our CMS system also allowed each venue to manage their own offers and promotions, helping to give each spa its own customer-oriented identity.

With lots of additional features in the roadmap, our solution can have bolt-on functionality added as necessary – from online payments, voucher issue and acceptance, automated marketing and SMS reminder functionality, smart-basket for cross and up-sell, private online member-only pages and customer data storage and reporting.

Results

How it performed

The soft launch is proving very successful and we’re looking forward to the full site rollout. 13 of 32 Spas are now live and are reporting a steady increase in traffic month-by-month since launch and we expect this to gather real pace once the spa marketing campaigns are actively driving traffic to the site.
